Our House...

We officially put our house on the selling market on 12 April and had our first open house on the 19th & 20th. It is our goal to sell the house so we can move to Yakima, WA this summer. Open houses, Hillary discovered, are not a calm affair, but it will all be worth it when the house sells!

Alex's first field trip

On 11 April Alex had his first field trip with his pre-school class to Centennial Farms at the Orange County fair grounds. Since we brought James along with us Hillary decided to follow the bus instead of ride it, which greatly disappointed Alex! Once we were there, however, he cheered right up as we saw all the spring baby animals. Sheep, goats, cows, ducks, chickens, and pigs! What a sweet experience for us to see all these new animals! Afterwards we walked around the grounds and found out there was a Dog Show going on that day. We had a blast watching all the dogs try to jump the farthest into a pool as they chased a toy. So much fun, in fact, that it was hard to leave at noon, when the field trip was officially over. Some of those dogs jumped pretty far! I could only laugh as I pictured Chewy (our chihuahua) jump off that platform into the pool in order to fetch his Clifford chew toy!

Jane is Honored

On April 4th Jane was honored at the flag raising at her school (the Intensive Learning Center) as Student of the Month. She was surprised when her name was read since mom kept it a secret! We were all so excited for her and are so pleased at how well she is doing in school. Thank you, Jane, for working so hard and achieving so much!

Rocker

I've always wanted a platform rocker, so mom and dad found this online and got it for me for Christmas '07, birthday '08, Christmas '08, birthday '09, etc...

Grandpa Ed

We were fortunate enough to visit with Grandpa Ed Monroe while driving back home. He's now recovering from a broken leg.

James

James (3 months) is such a happy baby...most of the time!

Snoqualmie Falls

We went to see the falls with Gammie. We wanted to hike down to the bottom, but the trail was steep and slippery, so we decided to wait until summer when it will be a bit warmer and a nicer hike.

Alex discovered Gammie's rocking chair, Jane loved sliding down the stairs, James enjoyed his bath in Gammie's kitchen sink, and Rebecca documented it all on camera.

Washington Trip

We recently took a trip to Washington to visit my family. We enjoyed the LONG road trip and the stop at IHOP in Redding, CA.
