Carlsbad Flower Festival - April

Straight from Aunt Kathy's pool to the flower fields... it was amazingly beautiful. I could never describe - so here are the pictures:

Carlsbad

We always enjoy our visits with Aunt Kathy, but this one had more color than usual:

This hill was just in front of Aunt Kathy's condo. The entire side of it was covered in purple, except for a bit of green here and there... and a random orange splattered in the middle. It was too amazing to pass up a kid shot.

Knott's Berry Farm

We're getting great use out of our Knott's tickets! In April we took the kids to see the replica of the Liberty Bell, as well as see a presentation of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Then we headed to the park and got some family shots in front of some fun sights:

We never have a dull moment at Knotts. :)

Colonial Days

Becky was a part of the 5th Grade Colonial Days this year. It is a fabulous assembly in which the kids all take a part - literally. Becky's part was that of a girl named Lydia who helped the colonists by eavesdropping on the redcoats and passing information to the colonial soldiers.

Town Center Fun

We met up with Leslie and Harley at the Town Center for water play, but we came ill prepared, as none of the kids had suits or towels or extra clothes... We all had a blast anyway:

Becky's Chorus Show

I had to cajole her. I had to bribe her. I had to scold her. I had to remind her of her talents and her interests. To no avail. She went to chorus at the beginning of the school year with dread.

Not one week later she was eagerly looking forward to each chorus practice. She even tried out for a solo this year!

Little Miss I-Don't-Like-New-Things is slowly learning that if she steps outside her box... she just might have more fun than she ever imagined!

Mr. Math Does it Again

This is Sean right as he found out he had been awarded another honor by our district's PTA (along with his coworker) for the service he does in the community as well as the hard work he puts in to improve classrooms in the mathematical setting, and test scores. He was such a good sport!

Dawn Lewis (center), our wonderful friend and neighbor, requested the award for these two hard workers. These awards are supposed to be a surprise for the recipient(s), so I had to get Sean there without him knowing why. I told him that our PTA president requested I come take pictures for the yearbook. Sean's boss then asked him if he and Stacey would go represent their department at the district. It ended up being a wonderful evening. I am so honored to be his wife!
