Alex Turns the Big 7!!!!!!!

Alex, you are amazing.  Your growth this year has been phenomenal!  I am so excited at the growth of your intellect.  You started reading in Kindergarten and have just rocketed from there!  Your reading improves each week as you bring home new books from school and devour them.  Your math and science smarts are impressive as well!  Your teacher even gave you an extra HW packet of math just to keep you busy in class because you often finish your work well before the rest of the class and need something to keep you busy.

At home your energy level continues as you enjoy helping (though often get distracted! hahaa) and playing with your siblings.  You're disappointed when sometimes your siblings don't want to play the same thing as you do, but quickly bounce back and find another thing to keep you busy.  You still love to cuddle and snuggle and are quick to laugh, often at something no one has a clue about!

For your birthday we were back in CA and enjoying the sunshine, though it was still a bit chilly.  Your breakfast in bed consisted of cinnamon rolls and juice, as well as some presents from your sisters:

You decided that you wanted to go to Ridemakerz for your birthday in Downtown Disney, so we enjoyed the sights and sounds of that magical place.

We went first to the Lego Store to browse around and get a small lego set...

And your photography skills are improving:
After that detour we went to:

Where you built your own ride:

You were MORE than happy with the results: your very own yellow, efficient remote controlled car!
You took one last picture of everyone who came with you that day:
That night, after dinner of meatballs, we enjoyed dessert of cookies and ice cream:

Alex, we are so glad to have your sweet, spunky spirit with us each day.  Thank you for joining our family and bringing us life and energy.  Keep reaching for the stars - you'll get there for sure! :)
